New to hunting? Start here by completing Maine’s online Hunter Safety Course—the first step to getting your hunting permit.
Licences & Permits
To hunt Maine black bear, you’ll need a Maine hunting license and a black bear permit. Both easily purchased together online at the link below.
Interested in Hunting Waterfowl while at camp?
Interested in hunting Canadian geese if the flocks allow? Be sure to obtain your Federal Duck Stamp and add Maine’s waterfowl hunt to your permit.
Interested in Trapping?
Want to try trapping a bear alongside your firearms hunt? Complete the online trapping course and secure your trapping license before camp to see which method brings success first!
Interested in Fishing?
The Fish River offers excellent fly-casting. Don’t forget your fishing license and gear!
